Frequently Asked Questions
What is MiniPack and what is it used for?
MiniPack is a sparkling wine preservation system that allows an opened champagne bottle to be kept in optimal conditions for more than 25 days, preventing gas loss and oxidation.
How is MiniPack different from other systems?
MiniPack is specifically designed for sparkling wines. It does not encapsulate the bottle, does not generate overpressure, and uses controlled food-grade CO₂ injection.
Is there any risk of explosion?
No. MiniPack does not work with dangerous overpressure. The pressure is limited and controlled, making the system completely safe. Thousands of bottles preserved daily in professional environments confirm this.
Can I use MiniPack with any sparkling wine bottle?
Yes. MiniPack is compatible with all standard-neck sparkling wine bottles, regardless of volume.
It can also be used with slim-neck bottles used by certain wineries (such as Mumm, Krug, etc.) by using a specific stopper designed for that neck diameter.
MiniPack does not adapt to bottle volume, but to the type of neck. With the appropriate stopper, the system remains safe and effective.
What gas does the system use?
CO₂, the natural gas of sparkling wines, supplied in small food-grade cartridges.
How long does a gas cartridge last?
A 16 g cartridge preserves between 2 and 3 bottles, depending on use.
Are gas cartridges included?
Yes. Seven cartridges are included with the purchase of MiniPack. Additional cartridges can be purchased separately.
